Hello,
Hoping for some quick advice from the experts on here. I have an F925 with about 530 hours on it. Starting about a month ago, it would stall randomly while mowing. Not anything particular seems to cause because it happens on slopes, on flat, when mowing, and while not mowing. Once it stalls, it won't start up. About a month ago it happened the first time. I loosed the first bleeder screw on the fuel filter, ran the pump, tightened the screw, and then repeated with the second bleeder screw. Doing this allowed the mower to start and run rough for about 20 seconds before all of a sudden starting to run like normal. We mowed a couple times for an hour or so each time and had to do this once or twice due to it stalling.

Today, it has stalled four times and the amount of time it runs after bleeding has decreased steadily. I was trying just to get back to the garage, a couple hundred yards, and it stalled out and now won't run again. Mower definitely has enough fuel. Hoping for any advice that can be given on what I may able to try to fix before breaking down and having it hauled into the shop.

Thanks in advance!

Tom

1- check tank for trash
2 - check fuel tank cap for clean vent, sounds like the system is pulling a vacuum due to stopped up cap
3 - turn on the switch allowing the pump to run, and walk your lines starting at the tank and working to the engine checking for flow each you place to can loosen the lines.
My guess this time it got air all the way through the system and is going to nee a complete bleeding before it will crank.

I have a PDF of the deere tech manual you're welcome to, shoot me email if wanted

Same problem my 935 had. Internal fuel tank pickup hose had a crack in it. Both left and right tanks. New lines cleared up the problem completely, Remove tank. Unbolt sender/pickup cap and pull out. If the end of the hard plastic hose breaks, look for the pickup strainer at the other end. I just used diesel fuel line instead of the hard plastic tube that was in there.

Thanks to all for the tips. We had to leave town for a week so I opted to have the local Deere folks pick up to look at. It has been a week since they picked it up and still haven't heard anything back. Will post when I get any diagnosis.
