Morning Guy's, Man this re-paint project is really being a PITA, first off I started way to early-it's still in 30-40 deg range here, I'am working in garage with no heat besides a torpedo (propane), have tractor Jacked up and wheel's,seat, hood off, been trying to CLEAN greasy area's good, can't get pressure washer to work with it this cold-will have to pressure wash it in garage and blow water everywhere? been sand blasting worse area's-have 150lbs of black coal slag EVERYWHERE, will have both fender's hopefully done today and will put in laundry room to cure, but just can't get it warm enough to spray tractor and have it stay above 55 deg for at least 12-14 hour's so it will dry decent, really hoping to get it warm & clean enough so paint will stay on and not come off to easy, replaceing many bolt's and screw's with stainless (new)-broke rusted stud's in fender light's getting them off-have new one's, Dang I've painted a few truck's with not near the hassle as this tractor and with frt loader staying on it does not help.
I"am not looking for any show job-just want it freshed up and looking decent.
Man 30 yr old grease is tough to clean and you never are sure it's clean enough and paint will adhere good, might have to hand scrub and rinse with warm bucket's of water?? sorry for crying but guess I'am already dreading heading to garage and getting coated with coal slag again,
any cleaning idea's would be great, Thank's
