What would be a fair price for a MF 135 all original with 3000h??

Sir;

You're in the same region as I, so I would imagine the prices would be similar....Here in Mid TN, a 135 in good shape (good tin, good engine, hydraulics, decent paint, and around 3000hrs) would go for about $5,000. That's actually pretty high, but since they are such a popular tractor (and small, and handy) they usually bring that.

I would personally try to shoot for a later model at somewhere around $3500...

When you say a later model do you mean MF or other models.......any recommendations

Thanks

Here, they bring a low of $4000 to a high of around $6500. That's still relatively low hours for a 135.

I was referring to a later model 135...if you can find one. They are really good tractors.

For comparison's sake, the 431 is - sort of I suppose - the new version of the 135; hp ratings are similar, as are the features. If I were you, I would price a 431 at a couple of dealerships before buying any tractor. You may decide that it would be worth it to buy a new one for relatively few more dollars than a used 135...

Sold my diesel 1974 135 for $4K last fall, 2800 hours and nothin' special to look at. Rubber fair, everything worked, and no attachments but fairly new tire chains went with it. Buyer and seller both happy. This is New England, don't know about your area.

I just cut a deal for a pretty used MF-135 Diesel Deluxe with power steering for $3600.

It has 4657 hours and the tach/hour meter are functioning.

Can't find the tractor S/N tag. Seller said it came with a generator and was retrofitted in the 1980s with an alternator. So it's an early model (1964-68 vintage). Need to research this further. Wish MF used casting codes like Ford.

Needs paint, sheet metal work, decals, seat, steering wheel, water temp gauge.. Engine was rebuilt 10-11 years ago around the 3500 hour mark.

Only leak is at the PTO rear shaft seal and it's pretty slow.

It was an orchard tractor with the exhaust pipe running under the tractor. Need to rotate the exhaust 90 degrees since a want to use this beastie for field work.

It will make you a good tractor when you are done with it. Sounds like almost everything that’s needed is cosmetic. Looks like they wanted the low wide tires and wheels, but didn't buy the actual orchard model.

If it really was overhauled 11 ys ago.. it is going to last quite a while. A 135 deluxe is a working beast.

That pto seal should be an easy fix.. so should the temp gauge... steering wheel too.
