Tractor
A bunch
Ok. I admit that my brothers, brothers-in law, and myself are tractoraholics. Anyone else? Not counting lawn tractors or construction equipment, we have 19 tractors between 6 people. I am interested to know of other families with similar tractor-to-person ratios?
Allis Chalmers-2
Farmalls-9
John Deeres-5
Cub Cadet-1
Ford-1
Bolens-1
Thanks.

You don't live on Ranch Road 195 do you?/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif Some guy there has about that many tractors in his yard. He may sell them but if so he does not have a sign.

I couldn't tell you how many tractors my family has. Most everyone farms and ranches. Just at my grandparents and mom's place there are 14 tractors. There are seven JD's, three cats, two AC's, and two masseys. My brothers have six JD's and one AC at their place and my one sister has two at her place. I'm not sure how many my other sister and her husband have so I won't count them. I have three JD tractors. Immediate family then has 25. I couldn't even think of all the ones my cousins, aunts, uncles, etc. have.

There was a couple of brothers near me who had and restored over 100 tractors with over 50 more waiting to be restored. They did a amazing job restoring them and they were the best painters and craftsman I have ever seen work on antique tractors. The one brother died recently though and I have not been up to visit the other since then, yet. As for my family.

The first tractor I ever drove was an JD "H". had a bad distributor or something, so my brother sold it and bought a "50". Does yours have a 3PH? If so, is the top link really strange? Like 2 bars hanging down and connected by a third? Almost like an upsidedown "U"? Also, what year is your "M"? My brother has a 1947.

Too bad we didn't live closer. I think I would be in awe if I saw that many. My brother-in-law runs a dairy farm and in the winter, he usually fixes up one or two old Farmalls ...unfortunately (or fortunately, depending upon how you look at it) he doesn't sell as many as he buys.... At least he knows better than to line them all up. I think it would be too much for my sister's patience.
