fan belt size for 1710

Anybody know the fan belt size for ford 1710?

I haven't been able to find the size listing. I have a part number but it still doesn't say what size it is.

34" is too small

I will try the 35 and 36 tomorrow.

If it works ... it works... but I would like to know what is supposed to be on there.

The old belt looked like it was too lose so I tightened it up some and then it broke. It looked like it was flopping and sloppy lose. I didn't think that should be normal.
It could be supposed to look that way but it just didn't look right.

Well... since the 34" belt was too small I took it back and got a 35" and a 36". It is 3/8" wide but the old belt was a "caterpillar" type and the ones at TSC were solid (unsegmented).

I put the 36" on and it fit but the adjustment on the alternator took it out near the limit of the bracket. So I suppose the 35" might work as well as the 36". I don't care to take the 36 off and test the 35. I will just keep it for a backup.

The odd thing is this. The tractor seems to like it loose. When I tighten it up I smelled rubber burning so I stopped and loosened it up. I finished plowing the field and it seems to be doing fine.

I am getting ready to go back out with the harrow.
