Farm Dirt Bikes

   / Farm Dirt Bikes #21
Well, for a farm bike, not sure ground clearance as much of an issue as with something that is going thru serious terrain and rocks. Not too many croplands in rocks and timber. And considering the thread related to farm bikes, I think it is still a good choice. Light can be a good thing, but weight can also be a plus in the right circumstances, especially with the wider tires on the TW200, and be a little more stable in some conditions. Each of us has different ideas on what works for our circumstances. When I need a bike to be light enough to carry around instead of riding, I will take a second look at a lighter bike.

Good point, as long as you aren't riding in a wheel rut or through deep water and mud or over rocks and fallen logs. Heavier riders have some traction advantages, as a lightweight I will grant you that, but I have Never seen a heavy dirt bike being an advantage to anyone. To be fair, I am not a normal rider and I ride with some of the top riders in the country, so my ideas of riding dirt bikes is not what you would call normal.

 any dirt bike is good, but if you want to go places you can't even walk, get a Trials bike and learn how to get it airborne :dance1:

May be for some, but they appear to still be in business.

My only point is in the context of this thread, what might be good for some may not be for another and since Rokon has been in production with essentially the same features, someone must find them suitable and hardly a novelty.

I fear this thread has gone far afield of it's original intent and I may well have contributed to it, so carry on.

I have a Rokon and love it for everything but riding;)

It is slow and strong, put one deer on back and drag another out. Fill the wheel rims with extra fuel if your going a long way, with two wheel drive it will climb almost anything and if it won't climb it straight up it will sidehill it's way up!

I have the one bolt on side platform which is great for hauling stuff on the beach, watch out if you don't have any weight in it tho!

I think of it more as a tiny tractor instead of a bike. 3 speeds slow, super slow, and crawl!
It beats the crap out of you! Ergonomics suck and i would much rather walk than ride it BUT it will easily pack 500 lbs if you can keep it right side up;)
