farm king mower issue

Well finaly got the grass and weeds down on my field, having issues with the nower, after a hour of cutting the blades litrally stall, taking a look underneath the underside of the deck is full of pacled cuttings like mud, it is stopping the blades turning, I have hit many rocks while cutting but the blades are not that bad, it is very hard packed but will come off with a putty knife, is this normal, could it be the crop material I cut down

Clean it up good and then spray some silicone lube under there.

Are you running at correct pto speed? discharge chute open?

Is it a Farm King finish mower or bush hog style rotary cutter? I would expect the packed material on a finish mower but not the rotary cutter. I'd also check to be sure the blades are on right, and not installed upside down.

i used to have the same problem with my 84" farm king, i painted the underside of the mower with slip plate, i also suggest spraying with silicone before mowing

thanks for the ideas, the blades are on correctly, cleaned it up and it still sticks, not as bad but eventually the blades jam into the packed material on the sides, I will try sharpening them today and try again
