Farm King Mower

Looking at buying this. 82" buhler farm king mower with a few new parts. Category 1 3ph and looks like it was lightly use. Seller wants $1500.

Was wondering if anyone had some input?
What's it worth new?
What it's capable of cutting?

I have lots of small diameter willows to mow.

I have the 60" model that I use for mowing the yard and RC runway. It does an excellent job. I paid around 1600.00 new. It was the lowest priced one I could find and it is well built. I have had mine about 4 years. The only downside is the tires, they wear out pretty fast. I hope to get solid tires some day.

Thanks for reply 6string! Would you be able to operate the mower with wheels just off the ground? Maybe a 12" cut height? Have you mowed anything heavier than just grass?

A stihl brush saw is $1500 brand new.
This has to be as capable?

I used to have to 84" farm king finish mower. I agree the tires are a draw back. I would use SLIME in them but eventually they would blow out. Princess auto had they for 8.99. Toughest part was installing that little tire on the small rim with out pinching the tube.
I recovered my acreage with my Farm king mowers. I started with 3' tall weed/grass. It was slow going but worked. Eventually I was mowing full speed pulling with my jd 2305 and jd2320. I used my farm king to knock down 1" trees no problem just go slow.

The price seems a little high but that the depends on location as well.

I use mine on a 3005 JD with no weights on the front and if I lift the mower a foot or higher the front end starts getting light. I raised the wheels to their highest limit(probably 4") once to mow a shooting lane. I have not used mine for cutting anything other than grass, I have a 296 BushHog on the 5105 for that.
