Farm Pro 2420 won't start.

It was running fine and parked about 2 months ago. Went to crank it up this past week end and nothing/wouldn't start. No clicking noise, just nothing.
I knew the battery was old and needed replacing, so I replaced the battery, still nothing.
My brother is a mechanic for the city and i'll get him to look at it.
I checked fuses, none burnt. I'm thinking the ignition switch is the culprit.
Any ideas?

Possible, also check the clutch safety switch its down where the clutch pedal stops when its all the way down.Another culprit could be the ground cable where it attachs to the frame, make sure it's getting a good connection

I believe the ground cable to be fine, but I'll check it and the safety switch.

Clutch safety switch is where I would look first.

Any possibility a critter chewed up the wiring?

Rats! Set out 3 traps last night and caught one.
Yeah, might have some eaten wires.

Yep, we have those loveable little critters down here in Paradise, too. I find that spraying the wiring with a shot of pepper spray (the defensive kind) keeps the rats from gnawing on them. The best solution I found though, was getting my shop cat to sleep on the tractor seat. (grin)

Yep, got me a female barn cat 5 years ago. Should have done it 15 years early.
