A Farm Pro dealer priced me a new 20hp. 2 wheel drive for $5,599. I live in east Texas. I thought this was a little high. I have considered a Yanmar also. What would some of ya'll recommend? Are these tractors dependable, and will they be around awhile? I love this web sight! Lots of good folks, and info!

Pricing is up to each dealer, shop around a little and compare.I think you also have to consider service, parts, ect.I do know that all the Jinma/Farmpro tractors coming in now are EPA approved which has added some cost to the tractors.
Also consider that you cannot add a frontend loader later to the 2-wheel drives. Look at the 25 hp 4x4 tractors it would have better resale later if you decided to sell.

Prices have really gone up on the 2wd 20HP Farm Pro this year. dealers now pay $$$ more than we used to sell them for retail! The improvements to the tractor include a 3 cylinder engine and 2 year warranty. We do have a couple of 20HP 3 cylinder (new style) tractors in stock at older pricing, if the 2wd suits your needs.

The tractors have proven to be reliable and Homier has made a huge investment in the tractor business over these last few years.

I have sent you a PM. Thanks

I appreciate the imput.I have looked at too many tractors,(I think?)I only have 5 acres to mow,and maybe a little dirt work. I just haven't made up my mind on which brand. Thanks again for the come back.

I recently bought a farm pro 2420 2wd. I also have 5 acres to mow and the tractor has performed well except for the short somewhere but going back to dealer. I give 4399.00 for mine with a bush hog. My dealer said that they were not going to sell the 2wd models anymore due to the price increase. Good luck.

I HAD a Yanmar it was a JD 1070, but it was Yanmar, I have to be honest and tell you the Yanmar was the biggest piece of junk I have ever owned. I bought it new and it had nothing but problems. The Diff. lock blew apart, the valve push rods jumped off the rockers when you ran it at PTO speed and the hydraulic's gave me a fit all the time, Glad its gone.
Now I have a Jinma 354LE, I had to do a fix on the backhoe but other than that normal service is all I have had to do to it, forgot the horn didn't work, turned the adjustment screw on the horn now it works. The Jinma has been dependable and I am glad I bought it.
My neighbor had a NH 33 hp, it was a dog, he just bought the same Jinma I have and he is happy as a pig in s*&&, and loves the 4 wheel drive.

I had a Rhino/Jinma 20hp 2 wheel drive. Was ok at brush hogging but forget about trying to use a box blade with one. Just not enough power. It would run forever on 5 gallons of diesel. I had the tractor for 6 years and it ran flawlessly that entire time until a few weeks ago the pressure plate let go. I sold it and bought a brand new NH.
