No, it did not get ground off. I had to replace the big O-ring for the 3 pt lift piston/cyl under the seat. I had to remove the trans/gear shifter cover. I did not drain enough hydraulic fluid. When I pulled out the cylinder and piston, some of the hyd. fluid went into the trans. When I was finished I had to drain alot of fluid out of the trans. to bring it to the proper level on the dipstick. I am wondering if the trans. dipstick is marked at the proper level. They both have univ tractor fluid in them. When I changed fluids a while back I may have just measured in the th 3.7 gals in the trans. I can't recall whether I trusted the dipstick or not. I just wanted a comparison with another tractor. I don't have time to drain out and meter back in the 3.7 gals now, but I also don't want to damage anything.
Sorry to hear about lean too. I have lost quite a few trees the past month also due to the wet ground and high winds. It is too hot now to deal with cleaning up messes like that. I prefer the late fall to early spring for that kind of work, but you have to do what you have to do.
