I got a letter from Farm Show magazine for a discount price for new suscribers. It's only $14.95 for a year (6 issues) and to tell you the truth, it looks like a pretty good magazine. Lots of stuff on custom projects like you see here on tractor bynet, and user opinions/comments on equipment as well. Best of all, if I suscribe now I get entered in a drawing for a free 40hp 4wd Nortrac tractor with FEL! Anybody every suscribed to it before? I think I'm gonna get the one year deal and just hope I win the tractor, can't ever have too many of them you know? :D

Yep... Farm Show is a fun publication, I had been getting it for years and giving subscriptions out as christmas gifts for a long time. Have not got it in the last year. I should probably start again... It's a fun read... Lots of stuff some not too practical or well thought out. But the majority is very good. KennyV

Been getting it for years. Sometimes I wonder why,and then a great idea comes out in its pages. They also have an unbiased opinion of how much people like or dislike certain items. Its really a great read, with good ideas and projects. Also it gives inventors a chance to show their stuff. For one year at $14.95 its worth the time to try it and read it. Just my humble opinion, but I like to read it.

I understand the critizisums (oh my spelling....) against it, but you will enjoy it for a year, well worth the little money. When I saw the diesel motorcycle..... ;)

Been a subscriber for about 10 years now. Getting to the point that there's only one or two new ideas per issue but it's still gets my interest when a new issue arrives. MikeD74T

While everyone on this thread is talking about Farm Show... I was wondering if anyone has bought their CD of past pubs. ? Is it easy to use as in search? Can you navigate around in it? I have thought about getting it every year, never did for some reason... KennyV.

Well worth the money for the magazine as it will humor you and awe you at the same time. There are some seariously scarey things being done with machinery out there yet, the magazine also provides great resources and facinating ideas (the "why didn't I think of those" type)
I saw one of the CDs, it was ok but tougher to search through than back issues.

When my issue comes I sit down and read it cover to cover first thing. Some material repeats but it's a good read and good resource. The inventiveness and mechanical ability of some "back yard mechancis" amazes me.

I got it for a year. I never renewed my subscription, but if I had it to do over again I'd still get at least the one year's worth. It has changed the way I look at things. Junk has now come to mean "something waiting to get repurposed".

Get the subscription. It's worth all of $14.95. After a year you'll know if you want to renew or not.
