Hello, I have a price check. I'm still on the fence about the cab. Let me know your thoughts. 80acres, woods, crp, creek to cross.

Farmall 45 cab
loader
hydro
4x4
540 pto

29K cash
31K financed

What do you all think of this price. There has been a price increase recently and to order a rops tractor will save $2500 off the above prices.

Thanks.

You mean the cab only costs $2500 extra? I thought the cab option was over $4000.

The prices you quoted for the cabbed model seem to be about right. Of course the cash price is the best. Is the financing 0%? If so, that's why it is so much more than cash.

80 acres seems like a lot for that tractor, but I guess it depends on what you want to do. Also, I'd love a cab, but my heavy coverage of oak trees makes me sure I'd destroy it in short order. I have a TC45D and 55 acres. That's more than I can can keep up with. I'm trying to sell everything but 22 acres. That would be perfect for my tractor. I really think you need a larger tractor, but you have to look at your budget and plans.

The dealer tells me to order a rops dx45 will cost 26,500. The cab tractor on the lot is 29K. This is because of a price bump due to steel costs. This is what I'm told.

I wasn't sure how much I'd like the cab until I got it. Now after brushhogging in the air condition, pulling a box blade without getting covered in dust, and looking forward to plowing snow in a t-shirt, I made the right choice for me. As far as the price, it sounds pretty good to me compared to the prices I was getting when I shopped around. One other thing you may want to consider is rear remotes for later use depending on your plans with the tractor. I just recently added a hydraulic toplink which comes in very handy with a box blade. (by the way, thanks jinman for providing the length needed, it works perfectly for all applications so far)

Here's a pic of the rear remotes before I added the hydraulic toplink

That seems to be in line with what I paid at the end of July and given the prices I saw on used units, I think I got a pretty good deal. I got the Farmall 45 cab for 27k and the loader for 3,300.00. Cash or credit was the same price. Plus I received a 650.00 fuel card and 300.00 rebate for being a Farm Bureau member. I ended up having them add a remote and a radio. I am so busy with mowing that I havent even had a chance to play with it yet. Its sitting in my shop with 1.5 hours on it.

What is the name of the dealer where you bought this cab and was it really $2500.00?

I think you were the one who said the cab option was only $2500 in your original post. If I remember right the cab added around $4,500 to $5,000 to the purchase price of my tractor.
