Has anyone else had issues with their Farmall A series quitting, not running? I actually had a Farmall 55A that had so many wiring issues that I finally traded it in on a Farmall 60A. I just thought i had a lemon, but not sure now. This 60A is now 5 years old ( about 600 hours) and last year it would run for about 10 seconds then quit. Dealer ended up having it for almost 3 months and through lengthy process of elimination ended up replacing wiring harness that they believed was the issue for throwing every code in the book from faulty injectors to fuel switches to safety switches ... the list goes on and on. I ended up with a hefty repair bill of almost 7,000.00 , it was much higher more than double but Case IH picked up part and the dealer picked up part. My ultimate question is , is this issue just going to repeat itself with time or is it really fixed. We have been using the tractor since we got it back for some light duty work but just wondering do we keep it or send it down the road. If anyone has had issues with Farmall A series it would be nice to hear from you!
