Farmall/Boomer Easy drive CVT

Anti-stall, how does it work? What difference would/do you notice with it on vs it off? I posted in the New Holland forum and did not get any replies so I will try here. Maybe someone with anti stall on another brand could /would answer. lt190b

I really like my boomer cvt. Like we talked about I don't have the anti stall. Hopefully some owners chime in here and help you out.

For my Boomer 8N with the switch on if you are operating above 1400 RPMs and because of the workload the engine RPMs start dropping anti-stall will decrease transmission output to allow the engine to catch up regardless of the foot pedal position. At any time the engine drops below 800 RPMs it will shift into Neutral to prevent the engine from stalling regardless if anti-stall is on or off. I don't have a FEL so I don't have it happen often but I leave it on. It did kick in while dragging the arena deep in 2WD and getting bogged down with a bunch of sand in the drag. I had accidently hit the switch and took it out of 4WD.

Mine runs in High range in 4WD with both Reactivity and Anti-stall on. Occasionally I kick down to Low range mowing around things. The speed range only limits speed. I left mine at the defaults of Low 0-30%, Middle 0-60%, and High 0-100%. The cruise controls only work in High range so that is what I run in since I use mine almost exclusively for mowing.

I have a 2011 case farmall 45 CVT. I have three speeds, anti-stall and reactivity, i'm not sure anti-stall is working correctly on my tractor as I can't really tell the difference. Using the FEL, the tractor can still bogg down so bad that it sticks in gear and won't go into neutral until the engine is almost stalled. This is after releasing the motion pedal. I'm going to trailer it over to a dealer this winter to have them see if there any updates. It's a **** shame the case can't look this up and tell you if it needs an update or not.
