ROCKY RIDGE -- A 72-year-old man cutting the grass on a Bollinger Road farm was killed Wednesday when he became pinned under an older model Ford tractor, the Frederick County Sheriff's Office said.
Warren Hoover Keefer Jr., whose 73rd birthday would have been Thursday, was found by his wife about 10 p.m. Wednesday underneath the right rear tractor tire at the farm in the 14000 block of Bollinger Road, Deputy First Class Jennifer Bailey said.
Mrs. Keefer told deputies that her husband was expected to finish cutting the grass about 7:30 p.m. and then return to their Frederick home, Deputy Bailey said.
"Investigation on the scene leads investigators to believe the victim fell off the tractor when attempting to make a turn and was pinned under the tire," Deputy Bailey said.
