I am a newbie! I've got a '63 JD 3010 that has a Farmhand F11C Loader on it with a 540 PTO pump and a stock Farmhand 5 gal oil resevoir.
Problem is my pump went bad. Internal casing worn out & bypass goin on. I want to buy another one (rebuild is just as costly in this case).
HOW MANY GPM SHOULD I GET??? I have seen anywhere from 7 to 40 gallons per minute with those Prince pumps and am worried if I buy a high GPM pump it may blow out my old loader seals. CAN THIS HAPPEN??? Also the pump makers site says you should have a resevoir equal to the GPM! I don't have room for a 18/21/40 gallon resevoir!! IS THIS TRUE???
I have the original loader manual and parts book with all the details and drawings but nowhere does it give any specs on the pump like gpm or pressure generated???
I like the PTO pump set up and don't want to change my valves to run it off the tractor directly. Any info you guys have would be greatly appreciated!
