I would love to be able to afford a Farmi or Norse... but can't justify the price for (1) what I plan to use it for and (2) for the tractor I own (a BX1500)...
So, I've been thinking about how to fabricate an inexpensive, small alternative and wonder if anyone has suggestions.
If I were to take a worn out rear blade and remove the blade itself, leaving behind just the frame, I could weld on a flat plate of steel with a couple of chain hooks welded to it. Then I could put a hand winch (like a boat winch, but with steel cable) on top to pull whatever tree/logs up against the plate.
What I'm really interested in is any suggestions about the "base unit" to fabricate against. My thought of using a rear blade is just came to mind.
