My 2003 Farmtrac 45 has developed a power steering leak underneath the steering column. Fluid is running down side of block. Tractor has 200 hours on it. Could it be a fitting or seal?? Also, I'm not sure where to refill the power steering fluid. Bought the tractor used and didn't get a manual with it.

Tractor also seems hard to start. I have to crank awhile to even get it to hit. Tempature doesn't seem to matter. Has anyone experienced similar problems. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

More than likely there is a leak on one of the lines coming from the steering pump. The pump is located in what I can only describe as a "canister" toward the front of the motor. It has a plug and that is where you can add hydraulic fluid to it. Take the sheet metal off and see which line is leaking. When filling up your steering fluid be sure the tractor is running, fill it up, turn wheels to full left and then full right and then refill is necessary.
