Hey guys first post. I’ve been doing a lot of searching on the internet and I’m not finding much information. I inherited an early 2000’s Farmtrac 60 with very few hours. When I got it, it cranked fine but would run away and the kill switch wouldn’t work. All 3 injectors were working but the control rod was frozen I assume. It sat for another year, now I can work on it. Friday I took everything off the engine and removed all the covers from the injector pump. The control rod was frozen with some rust and I tapped on it gingerly until it started to move. After some PB blaster and wiggling it, it seem pretty loose but now the first injector seems frozen. I was trying not to take anything apart that would affect the setting of the pump. Once I realized the first injector pump/piston was frozen I tried removing the fitting in the top of the pump that the fuel line connects to. Once it broke free it unthreaded easily for a turn or two, then got harder. I’m assuming it was pulling on whatever was frozen but without a parts diagram and never having worked on one of these before I didn’t want to push my luck. I screwed it back into the same position it was in, I had marked it before unscrewing it. After repriming the system the other 2 injectors were working fine and I was able to get it cranked on 2 cylinders which was enough to get it on and off the trailer to move it.
I know you can send them off to get them rebuilt, but I don’t know who to talk to about it. I’ve seen @thepumpguysc post on here and I’m in SC. Any other help would be appreciated. I also need another manual prime pump the one I have is frozen also, but like I said, I can’t find parts anywhere.
