Farm Trac 665 DTC
I've got a 665 DTC model. The pto continues to spin (at a slow rate) when the lever is pulled to the stop. I haven't been able to get in a take a look yet but has anyone had the same issue? Is so, what was the problem?

Thanks.

Does it spin by hand with the tractor off and pto disengaged and work otherwise?? On my 555 (which I have had apart several times) the lever just pushes spines together. Either on or off. There is a nub on the end of the output shaft that rides in a hole on the PTO that keeps them lined up, guess something could be going on there. I think yours is a different set up , but similar

Not sure but I'll check that Friday. I noticed it after I had the cutter on so I went ahead with my work. I'll be at my place again Friday and will investigate it better. It just started doing it after using an auger. Not sure if that had something to do with it.

PTO Clutch adjustment.

Then eventually the gear breaks at the back of the cam.

And you split her.

665DTC is too often a hodgepodge that was pushed out the door using a mix of parts mine has the carraro trans which Farmtrac in India says wasn't used with the DTC. Kaul also had them push out DTC series tractors with the old Turkish side shaft 4wd, like Massey and Long had.

I went to the Tarboro Works after closing to try to see if I could negotiate a purchase, TBN had created a the warranty panic and Farmtracs were auctioning cheap. Textron was trying to get as many back to a central location as possible. This was 2008 or so, so my memory isn't perfect anywhere. But the Tarboro guys had stories of Longtrac(UTB) and Landtrac(Mitsubishi) motors being thrown together with anything left on the floor or in the cage. Kaul, you listening ?

Had that problem on one of my 675's Was just out of adjustment from the factory. The rod between the lever and the trans. gave it about 2 turns solved the problem.
