we got a farmtrac 320dtc with the front end loader and backhoe attachment, and recently it started gettin a stumble when you raised and lowered the front bucket. i dont know much about hydraulics but it seems like there is air in the system. you can feel the line jump around some when the tractor is running. i checked the fluid and its full.(at least i think it is). i tried cracking a couple lines loose to see if i could get any air and i got nothing. i do not have the owners manual for this either. so can anyone point me in the right direction

Do you mean the engine rpm decreases momentarily when you activate the loader valve? Does the loader operate normally after that.? Any air n the cylinders should be purged after a couple of cycles. If you do have air in the cylinders, then you possibility have a suction leak. Check you fluid for air bubbles. Note the color of the fluid.

no not the engine rpm, the loader itself, its working, but its kind of shaky or jumpy like. like theres air in the line. its not real bad cuz if you watch the loader you cant really tell. but you can feel it in the line. and sometimes you can see it in the line too by the way it jumps a little. also ive noticed that its worse when you first start it up. although it never completely goes away it does seem to work a bit better the more you use it

I a thinking that it works better, because you are getting rid of a large bubble of air, and after that , you are still sucking air as little bubbles, and that will reduce the power of the cylinders some what. Check the suction hose and re-tighten. Did you see any small air bubbles in the reservoir after running the tractor. With a small reservoir, the bubbles will continue to recirculate, as they don't have time to float out of suspension.

Also check your reservoir level. I just replaced my tranny/ hyd fluid. The manual says 25 l. I put 24 l. before topping up. All the hydraulics were as you describe. Jerky as if air in lines. Thought just needed to cycle things for awhile to get air out. Realized soon enough that I had probably also drained/emptied the FEL cylinders. Added about another 6l. and the pump picked up the flow right away and problem solved. Dipstick showed a good level after.
