Does anyone know what size grease fitting is used on the farmtrac loaders?
I have a 2003 360DTC with the 5140 loader. There loader was made in NC. The parts manual says it's a M8x1.25. I can't find that size anywhere. Agri-supply doesn't sell it. Nor does Tractor Supply. I can't find anywhere on the net. Not even in a kit of assorted metric sizes They all have M8 or M8x1. The Farmtrac dealer gave me one (m8) that does not fit. He said that is the only 8mm fitting he can get.
I started thinking that since the loader is made in the USA, maybe it's SAE. The 5/16 fitting is 32 count threads matches prettty close. Could this be it for some silly reason they are using 5/16 inch fitting and giving an equivalent metric measurement.
5/16 inch is .3125 inches
8mm is about .315
1.25 thread is about 31.75 threads per inch close to 32
Any ideas
