Nice looking machine. I've looked at the 535 myself. Its specs are very close to that of a '68 model Ford 2000 that has been in my family for years and years. From what I understand, the 535 is built on the old Ford platform, for the most part. It is proven and will be there with you for many years to come.

Looks good. Had much seat time yet, what are your first impressions?

4.5 hours on the clock so far. gear box is stiff, as to be expected, really like the draft control. love the single control for the lift and bucket tilt. cranks well, has plenty of power. power steering is a huge benefit. i'm used to a bobcat and a farmall cub. love the tractor, definitely made the right choice and no "wish i hads at all". /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Glad you are pleased with your purchase. The gear box's are always stiff, haven't gotten a new one in yet that was "easy" to put into gear. Will work its way out by 50 hours. Again, congrats!

Well, the way the FEL looks on my screen it looks like there's a covering over the FEL arms right where the knee joint is (or maybe elbow?). It's a darker shade of black and looks less reflective as though it were cloth. Just an optical illusion. Sorry for the confusion.
