Diesel engines produce more pollution at low rpms. If you tractor has Tier 3 or 4 the higher rpms keeps the system cleaner.
Is that the only reason or is there some mechanical reason for it? I would like to slow it down some if I can get a service man to do it.
I understand the low idling and always bump up idle speed when I do idle but hate the idea of shutting down a racing engine. This is an electronic engine so the dealer will have to do it if he can or will.
