Faulty ignition(?) on JD 1070

When switching the ignition switch to 'off', from engine running, the engine continues to run for anything from 10-30 seconds. Any clues as to the cause and its repair?
Any guidance appreciated. Rodent.

Check the fuel shutoff solenoid. It may be sticking, out of adjustment, have something fouling the linkage, etc.
