Favorite chain suppliers?

I personally use the chain tensioners on my rear tires and rubber tensioners on the front. When I got my chains from Tirechains.com I also received a binder type tool to help install the tensioners. I like to put my chains on snug so there is no slop that might hit on anything. Others here on this site run their chains loose it's personal preference I guess. PC050154.JPG

Chains will help you, but 4 wheel drive would be better. Especially when you are moving hay bales.

A lot of people use tensioners but I never have on my tractor or my pickup. I have found that if I take the time to tighten them properly, they won't be a problem. All that I had was a set of ladder truck chains for my last tractor, which were a bit too narrow. I worked the crosslinks over my bars instead of between them and tightened; once I learned which link they needed to be hooked onto I never had a problem. A pair of pliers works well to hook the fastener down.

PS; Nice tractor. I like those older Fords.
