Good afternoon folks. New with dealing with a tractor and such so I am trying to pick the brains of those much more knowledgeable than mine. I have a year 2000 Mahindra 2810. Love it to death. 28hp on the pto and does so far everything that I need it to do. It did not come with a FEL and I am interested in a retrofit if I can find the right one for the right price. But first I need to understand the basics of what it would be even possible to do so. Is it possible to retrofit? Are there any attachment locations that should currently be on the tractor frame that would allow an attachment to be used? If not, do I weld pivot parts onto the frame to use a FEL? I have found a John Deere FEL on government surplus, can a different manufacturer implement be used or would I have to go with a Mahindra product? Would there be hydraulic fittings that would need to be run onto the chassis itself and is that possible with a retro? Please chime in with any other issues/answers that may apply.

That 2810 was built by TYM for Mahindra. It, like most Mahindra tractors in the US used a loader by KWM out of Kansas. The model of the original loader was ML108. You could try to contact KWM or your local Mahindra dealer for information on that model, as well as the subframe to connect it to the tractor.

TYM used the same design for other manufacturers as well, I'm not sure exactly what makes and models, but there are others out there similar enough there are other loaders besides the ML108 that would likely bolt up and work great. Woods and others make all sorts of loaders to fit all sorts of tractors. One of them may have the cross reference materials needed to see what other makes and models of tractors are the same rebadged TYM as your 2810.

As far as the hydraulics, your tractor has the capability to run it. You'll take the covers off so you can access everything and disconnect the incoming line to the three point lift and use this line to power the loader controls. From the loader control there is a "power beyond" port that will be routed back to the three point in place of the original line.
