The FEL may be on there along with the snowblower just for storage purposes and to show that it comes with both.

On my B7500, it is possible to keep both the FEL and front blower on at the same time, but since the hoses for the blower plug into the FEL control, you could not operate the FEL. You couldn't lower the the FEL all of the way anyway with the blower up there.

I think you'd also have the problem of the FEL slowly leaking down.

My 2170 is configured the same way. You can detach the snowblower head from the subframe with the flick of a lever, and then operate the FEL with the subframe still installed. That is how I run it most of the year, except when I have to use my newly acquired Backhoe with subframe. ( have been bursting to say the backhoe comment for months. Boy is it nice to finally have a backhoe attachment! (I have wanted it since I was playing with Tonka toys in the sandbox)! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif.

I don't think there is anyway that you could lower the loader bucket with the blower in place.

You can do the same with the B7500 - leave the snowblower frame and mounts on (not the blower though) and use the FEL.

However, I have a MMM, so I do have to remove all of the snowblower hardward in order to use the MMM.

Impressive! That's a nice rig you've got. How much you figure that stump weighs? Were you able to rip that out with just chains and the FEL bucket or did you use the backhoe too?

Sleepyhollow: /w3tcompact/icons/hmm.gif This was the first stump I dug out with the BH. I wasn't sure the BH could handle this 14" White Oak, so I went at it cautiously. /w3tcompact/icons/tongue.gif After nearly an hour the stump started rocking in the hole and I was encouraged to continue./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif I turned the tractor so I could chain to the FEL, but could'nt lift because of the large rootball. /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif Iworked the rootball with the BH and reduced the weight by doing so. Next try with the FEL picked the stump just high enough to clear the hole (after curling the bucket) . It was a Kodakmoment, as they say. /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif I believe the capacity of the FEL at hood height is 1005 lbs.
and could go no further, then the bucket curl which is 2820 lbs maxed out. /w3tcompact/icons/eyes.gif ...RayBee

I got a Bush Hog B765H with the subframe kit and PTO Pump. Boy, I KNOW I did the right thing by getting it. I have done so many projects so far with it (Water line, Tree removal, field cleanup, Telephone/Cable lines etc). It is amazing what size trees you can get out with this thing! (although it looks like you already know that /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif. You can't just rip them out with one tug, but by working on each main root, one at a time, you can quickly get them to let loose!!!
