I have a Mahindra 4110 with the 112 FEL. I have noticed that if I load the bucket full, and have the bucket tilted all the way back (so that the dirt will not fall out), after a few minutes, if I move the control stick to the left, the bucket will move back some more. Then if I wait a few minutes and move the control to the left again, the bucket will tilt back again. It is like the bucket tilt is drifting slightly. I don't know how far it will drift, but it will drift about 2 inches or so in about 2 minutes. Is this normal? I have only 56 hours on the unit.

Ken,

I have a 3510 with the same loader.

I have found a similar oddity that I was just blaming on myself. I have been moving and spreading a lot of gravel lately and when loading from the pile, it is very susceptible to "corner tippage." (If your bucket digs in a little more on one side, the far rear tire lifts. We just filled the tire with windshield washer fluid, so maybe not as bad now. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Anyway, to reduce the unbalanced loads, I will often lift the bucket way up and roll it back and forth once or twice and spill forward any "extra" load. With 2a modified, a full bucket is ok, an overfull bucket is too much to maneuver on the slope.

When I finish rolling the bucket back all the way, then drop the bucket quickly, I found the bucket always seemed to be rolled forward slightly.

Two reasons I found so far:

1. The loader does not allow simultaneous operation of lift and roll (at least, not much). If you move it left (roll back) and down at the same time, the bucket always rolls in the direction of the load (bleed by?)

2. The loader does not have an autoleveler like our bigger equipment. Therefore, the bucket doesn't keep the load level when moving bucket up or down. Just don't expect it to is all /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I haven't tried to leave the bucket in the air with a load. Will have to give it a shot. If it is the same, maybe have to add the same valve that others have recommended for a hydraulic top tilt arm for 3ph. It works in both directions, but only when proper pressure is pushing it to do so.

Maybe some of the hydraulics experts here can shed more light on this one.

Ken -

My 4110/FEL does the samething although it take about 5-10 min.

My FEL on my 2810 HST will do the same thing.

My 3375 Hoe will also. If my hoe is off the tractor long enough the out riggers will let it go right to the ground.

2810 - same here. I get bad drift on the arms and on the bucket. I had the dealer fix it once - said it was a bad valve, but it's back again.
ANY DEALERS LISTENING OUT THERE????

I've noticed on my 2810HST as well, both in the lift & curl cylinders. I was using a friends NH TC35 this weekend & the Woods backhoe would leak down as well, most notably the outriggers. I'm thinking it is normal, but others may have better experience.

There is a orifice kit available for the KMW loaders which will decrease the free movement of the bucket. This part is available through your dealer and the part number is KMW15902022 this is something you can install yourself.
