My Woods FEL bucket is about at end of its useful life. The weld on edge is gone and there are some rusting issues as well. The edge is $275 from woods then the install time. I really want a bolt on edge so I'm pricing new buckets or thinking about building one. One fab shop gave a quote of $1700 for a 72" 17cuft non QT. Any ideas? Anyone got any plans for buckets?

I guess by the time I make a set of plans with the Bill of Material I would have 5 hours in it already. Then I have to build the thing.

Sounds like the bucket I have on my Woods 72" 17cf but is a QT. $1700 seems like a lot, half the price of what I paid for the whole loader.

Plans? Plans?

You have a set of plans attached to the FEL right now. It's called reverse engineering. Take a tape measure and a piece of paper.

Have parts cuts/fabbed. Weld it together. Paint. Relax!

$1700!? I just fab'ed a 4' bucket for $130. And that included bending the plate.

For $1700 the guy was going to fab this way too heavy for my loader and I think he was on the high end. He was thinking 1/4 in plate for the wrap. I think the Woods bucket is 10Ga. with 1/4" end plates. Woods wants $1100 for a replacement pin on.
