Mine does have a toothbar on it.

A question for all you "Heavy Metal" guys...

I have a brush pile to burn. Now that the bucket edge/toothbar is straightened, would it be a good idea to put it into the coals of the burning pile. I was thinking it would relieve some of the stresses created by bending and straightening...

When done in the fire, I thought I would dig it into a pile of gravel and let it cool sowly.

Does this sound ok, cause I dunt know much bout' much....

MEMORIAL DAY...TAKE A PRIVATE MINUTE AND THINK ABOUT IT....

That would only make it softer.

If the bucket edge is made from an alloy with any carbon in it (doubtful), it could possibly be hardened and toughened by getting it orange hot and quickly quenching it in water. It's almost impossible to get a large piece of metal hot enough with a wood fire. Maybe 2 rosebuds working at the same time could get it hot enough.
