Greetings - long time reader, first time poster.
My BX24 with 120 hours on it has developed a little 'slack' in the FEL control mechanism. The bucket will raise itself when the FEL control stick is placed in the neutral position, obviously something has loosened up so the weight of the stick itself is enough to raise the FEL.
My question is this - are the adjustment nuts/bolts I need to play with to tighten/loosen this tension just under the plastic cowling under the base of the control stick, or are there more that I'd need to play with underneath the tractor body where the control rods meet the hydraulics?
Is this something that is a routine adjustment necessary over time, or something out of the ordinary?
Can I do any damage by tinkering with these myself, or is it a good idea to have a mechanic look at it?
Any suggestions/guidance appreciated, thanks!!
