Fel flattens tires

I've been doing some loader work in a pit and when I get a good load in my bucket the front tires almost look like they are flat. I checked them with nothing in the bucket and they seemed to be ok. Could I be overfilling my bucket??

What does your manual say about the air pressure when using loader.

Does your valve relief go start screeching?

If your relief was set right, it would go off if overloaded.

Ive lifted alot of weight with my DK45 and i have seen the front tirees sag down some under a real heavy load. I agree with checking the air pressure. I keep tabs on mine all the time. Dont want to pop a tire off of a rim...especially under load.

The manual says to keep them inflated to maximum tire inflation. As for the relief valve ive never had it go off yet.

If you are doing a lot of loader work, have your tires at max air pressure. If you have R4 industrial tires you will be set, if you have R1 AG tires then you could possibly be over loading the tires. AG tires that get used on the front typically do not have a high pound rating. I have seen on some tractors that if a person was to lift a maximum weight load with the loader, the AG tires would indeed be over loaded.

Hopefully your tires just need to be aired up.

The DK40 calls for 28lbs for ag tires and 45lbs for industrial tires. You can pick up 2500lbs with the loader. That's a good bit of weight. Advise what tires you have and somebody else with a 40 and the same tires can tell you what theirs does.

Your tires need more air.

Do you have someway to put air in your tires ?

Do you have a tire gauge ?

Maybe you are lifting more that the spec lift weight.

Plug in a hyd pressure gage, max out the cyl, and check the relief pressure. It should be about 50 to 100 lbs below the pumps max pressure.

Lifting weight = 1,074 lbs

Your loader relief valve should be set at 2000 psi

I thought that on a Kioti DK40 the lift capacity was around 2,700 lbs. What is this 1,074 lbs that you are talking about?

Do you have any ballast on the back? I have loaded rears but I noticed that having even my 350lb blade on the back helped with loader work. The specs and manual say you should have 1000lbs of ballast on the 3pt to work the loader to its limits. I find with a bucket full of gravel (1200-1500lbs?)my R1's do squish a bit but not enough to worry about them coming off the rim.
