Thanks to this forum this inexperienced operator has finally discovered what the float can do, first of all I never knew it was there and trying to level of some area just saw me scraping dirt and gravel around with the bucket following the course of the wheels resulting in a pretty rough job.
After figuring out what it did I finally put the BX in low range, positioned the bucket to drag and moved very slowly resulting in a smooth even surface, well, it took a couple of passes but very nice result.
Wife is happy and I am happy as this was a confined area in a carport that was too small for the grader.
Today I am shifting big blocks of concrete that a contractor dumped in the wrong spot and putting in a pedestrian gate to our horse arena, need to get it done before it heats up at the weekend with a predicted 41ーC, no aircon on the BX
