Thinking about building a fork lift carage and forks for the FEL on my small tractor. ( tractor weighs 2600 lbs. ) I have a Koyker 160 with a max weight lift of 1500 lbs. Highest lift is about 9'. Looking at bucket forks, looks like loads could bend the bucket with that much weight. ( don't know that for sure, just a guess) Forks look like they are made from 4" U channel or 2 X 4" square tube. Has anyone here ever tryed to make a carage with forks to replace the bucket on a FEL and if so was it successful?? Did you buy or make the forks?? I would like to use this thing for picking up hay bales out in the field and loading into a trailer to transport to the barn. I could buy or build a 3 point lift and do the same job. Think the FEL mount version would work better in the barn lifting bales higher stacking the hay. All comments appreciated, thanks,
Chris
