I originally posted this in the Bobcat forum but did not get a full answer. Hopefully someone here can help. I know the Kioti comes with a different fel. I have a BC225 w/ the fel. I would like to take the fel off when I use some of my rear implements. I looked at the BC front weight kit (500.00 - ouch!!!). My question is whether or not you can leave the bracket on and just remove the weights when you reattach the fel? Without actually putting a bracket on and trying to put the fel back on, it looks like a very tight fit. Unfortunately, the dealer did not know the answer. That is why I came to the braintrust - TBN.

On my ck20 hst, I was told by the Kioti dealer the front weights could not be used with the KL120 fel since they interfere with the bucket movement. The CK20 HST with the 2465 BH is pretty light in the front going up hills with an empty bucket. I had the front tires filled with foam and that added about 65 # per tire so they are over 100# each now and that helps.
I have since bought a Quick Attach for the FEL, it moves the bucket out 3 or 4 inches. I have been wondering if this is enough to get some weights out front.

Gil,
Thanks for you reply. I have the Bobtach fel (Rhino made, I think). I do not want to keep the weights on while using the fel, just the bracket. It would not interfer with the bucket operation, but there is a brace between the loader arms that seem very close and might hit the weight bracket. I am just trying to get a definate answer before I spend the $$$ for the OEM weights. If that fails, I will have to get some type of bracket fabracated.

I did not mean to say that it interfered with the bucket it self, it is, of course, the cross brace that it interferes with.
I am not familiar enough with the Bob-tach to know the clearances. Bobcat is made by a Korean company and they have tied in with Daedong who makes the Kioti. I'd be surprised if the Bob-tach is made by a Chinese mfg, maybe similar to the new QA system that Kioti is going to putt on the 30hp and up.
I would suggest that you contact Bob at Michigan Iron and Equipment. His email is- rpiro.mie@tds.net
He usually lurks on this site so I am surprised that you have not heard from him or one of the other dealers, except you have a Bobcat and that seems to be dirty word with the Kioti dealers since Bobcat has under priced the Kioti dealers with the same product painted white.

This is the reply from Bobcat:

Hello Norman,

You can keep your bracket for the suitcase weights mounted on the tractor and also hook up your front end loader. As you stated, you will need to remove the weights from the bracket prior to hooking the loader up.

Thank you for contacting Bobcat Company.
