The hydrolic hoses on the right side of the FEL are rubbing the decals off the side of my TC40's hood. Any recommendations as to how to pull those hoses away from the side of the hood? I've tried wrapping a bungie cord around the FEL's attachment post and around the hoses to pull them back to the attachment post, but it's not working. Thanks.

Are your hoses side-by-side or twisted around each other? I have mine routed so that no more than one hose thickness is between the loader arm and the hood. It still rubs, but not enough to do any major damage to the decals. Because of the way the hoses are routed, there is always going to be slight cosmetic damage, but I don't have a lot of concern for my tractor showing some wear. My rear fenders really show the signs of having been in the woods. They have lots of scratches, but not as many as all the trees and brush I have pushed into gullys. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Have you tried two bungee cords? There is only one real 'hinge' point, that being at the top of the FEL post. I have one bungee fixing the hoses to the post and one on the FEL frame near the quick-connects. This seems to have relieved any rubbing on the hood. Be mindful of maintaining enough slack in the hoses to prevent over-taxing the flexibility of the hose or putting the fittings in a bind.

Also, that the fabric chafing gear on the hoses is to protect them, not the tractor finish.

Seems as though New Holland's designers would have come up with a better method of routing these hoses. We were tying down hydraulic lines on the king crab boats like this 20 and 30 years ago, guess we were just ahead of the curve!

I don't know if this will work, but...can you loosen the hose connections where they attach to the loader end rigid tubing ( up by the loader cross brace ) twist the hose a degree or two ( rotate ) and then retighten them. It looks like they are swivel fittings. Maybe the alignment is a bit off causing the hoses to flex a bit inside toward the hood.

My tractor with the 7106 FEL came with 2 bungee chords as described above. I tuck the hoses inside the subframe and bungee around them.

oops! It looks like you already tried the bungees. I have some rubbing on my decals, but I think it's from forgetting to attach the bungees a few times.
