I've got 31 hours on the 6000 4WD with MD264 FEL. I've been seriously moving dirt for the last couple of weeks (on and off, probably a total of about 8 running hours). Anyway, noticed yesterday that one of the FEL hose connections on the right arm of the FEL had a small leak ( a drip or so at a time, not a spray) at the connection with the FEL's metal line that goes to the cylinder. I think maybe a pint or so of hyd fluid has leaked out. I'm gonna call my dealer today and give him the "scoop" (no pun intended"). Anyone had this happen?? BobG in VA

It's not uncommon for hydraulic fittings to leak a bit after some use the first few hours. Once it's tightened again you shouldn't have a problem again. If you do it's probably a problem with the fitting and it should be checked and replaced.

Yesterday, I tightened the connector (about a quarter turn till it was tight). Still have a small drip/drip. I called the dealer and left a msg. We'll shall see. Anyway, finished moving the "mountain" and then used the 7ft Corriher box blade to do the finishing touches on the landscaping (it's in my friends back yard) Did a great job. My friend was really happy with the result. I'm guessing that the hill of soil was about 600-700 cubic yards of dirt (my bucket is about 23 cu ft or a tad under a yard). He now has a filled in swale in the side of his yard (his yard is about 7 acres). The 6000 was more tractor than I wanted to buy when I got it, but now I'm really glad it happened that way. I'll give an upday when I talk to the dealer.

Sounds like there may be something amiss with that fitting. You shouldn't have needed to turn it close to 1/4 turn, normally 1/2 flat or at most a flat is all that's needed. I'd see what the dealer says and if they're a good distance away I might suggest that they replace the fitting to prevent another call.
