Bird I believe it was a defective hose as it blew by the crimping of the connector. I took the old one to the Kubota dealer where I bought the tractor and they made a new one for $10.25, quite a baragin I thought. I am now back in operation and trying to finish digging out a small pond. Wally

Bird, you are correct in your assumption that Napa stores are franchise operations. It was only about 15 miles to the Napa Dealer, and 35 to the closest tractor dealer, but when you consider city traffic that I had to go through on 6 or 24 of those miles, the extra cost was well worth the price! Plus, I wanted it now, not later!
I guess you can figure it out, I hate city traffic and driving!
Here in New Baden, I will drive 15 miles of country, to go to a WalMart, rather than 16 miles the other way, with a mile of city traffic to go through. One store is (guess) is a little cheaper, bigger inventory, but IMHO a pain to get to.
