Hi, I have a 1993 B7100 HST with a Kubota FEL(not sur of number) The joystick works fine raising and lowering, but when you curl the bucket either way, the stick will not center on it's own. Broken spring??? What do yall think. Any help would be greatly appreciated..

Operator error? Leave a Fireman locked in a room with two bowling balls, come back an hour later and one will be missing and the other broken.... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

A local 43 brother....

If it doesn't have ice in the backend of the spool, I would say to first check to make sure everything is lined up. If it has been bent even a little, it would be too much for that linkage. Second, lube it up good with some spray grease.

On my B7100 I was starting to have problems controlling the the bucket. Replacement of the joystick linkages fixed all the problems.

Hiya Steve, how goes it?

Here's a link Lost Float Position On B7510 that might help. (I know it's not your same exact problem, but it might shed some light on the subject).

The poster was having a problem with the detent mechanism itself (pictures are included), but Egon is probably on to something regarding messed up linkages. There might be some springs in there somewhere too - dunno, I've never really studied mine.

And hats off to you, Ryan and all you other brave men and women who keep us all safe. I have the utmost respect for firefighters, EMT's and police officers, and I actually envy you for the tremendous "job satisfaction" that you must all have.

And Ryan, I have to disagree with you about the bowling balls. I don't see how a firefighter could actually lose one. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

John,
Thanks for the support, our support has always been good, but of course the 343 brother we lost in 9-11 really made people take notice.

As for losing the ball, easily done, not as easy as breaking the other though.... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hi all,

Just wanted to post an update to my problem. I took the covers off on the end of the pistons, looked goo, little water in the big one, but not the one that was affected. Regreassed the springs, and put back together, still not working right. I took the linkage apart, and greased all the moving points, and bored out where the big anchor goes into the body, it works great, just to much rust in that area.

Thanks for all the posts...
