I have noticed that my joystick on my 460 FEL sticks. If I raise the bucket and let go of the stick, it continues to go up. And when I lower the bucket and then release the joystick, the bucket will go to the ground. I am not putting it in float.

I am wondering if any of you have had this problem before? If so, what did you do to correct it. I know it should snap back into the center position anytime I release the stick, correct?

Let me know what you guys think. I sure do appreciate it.

My first guess would be the linkage where your joystick
controls the valve spools may be in need of some lubrication.

there are several pieces of linkage, and they may be starting to sieze up... try that first and see if it makes a difference..

Thanks for the reply. I looked for a zerk fitting. I must have missed it. Do you happen to know where it is located? I will have a better look also.

Thanks again.

I would direct you to look down under your seat platform,
behind the boot that covers the bottom of the joystick,
there are quite a few linkages in there in front of where the valves are.
try that first and let us know if it's any better..

has the tractor been sitting any length of time?

Normally there isn't any zerks. I usually use a spray lubricant on the small ball joints.

Spray some lube on it. Work it in real good. That should definatly solve your problem.

I guess some silicon spray should be OK don't you think?

No it hasn't been sitting long at all. I have only had my 4510 a little over a year. It started doing it shortly after I got it.

Thanks for the input. I'll let you know what happens.
