RK24
Hey all. Anyone found a way to change the joystick so down is down and up is up without losing float on RK24?

I think you need to explain what you are trying to accomplish. My FEL joystick has neither UP or DOWN function. FORWARD is down - BACK is up. If this is what you want to change - I'm sure it can be done. But WHY??

:) I just thought it was me. The FEL on my RK24 is the first I've owned and when I first started using it I thought the up/down joystick movement direction was counter intuitive and I always pressed the lever opposite of what I wanted. I'm also looking to change the joystick to the right armrest from the standard location so it's out of the way for seating entry and exit. I know I'm going to bend that skinny little lever one of these days. Hopefully I can find a lever with switch so I can use a single lever on the arm rest for the rear remotes also rather than up on the ROPS. If, during my search, I find a fix to change the up and down only I'll let you know.

For those without an RK24, here is a picture of where it is located near the dash above the HST pedal plus a diagram of the direction of movement while operating FEL when looking at the joystick from the operators seat. The orientation is different than other FEL or buckets I've used.

Your diagram of joystick operations is pretty standard. The joystick IS on the right side and out of the way. I think learning how to mount and sit down will be a whole lot easier and less expensive than an attempted joystick relocation.

How can joystick operation be counterintuitive if this is your first tractor. It will become natural with time and experience.

That is standard movement I've always found. I think the issue is because the handle isn't facing straight up

That is standard FEL control operation.

It is also common that the FEL control blocks entry and exit from the right side.

Entry and exit should be done from the left (port) side of the tractor only.

Some tractors have moved the FEL control to the right fender. In that configuration, the operator can enter and exit on both sides.

That's correct. The joystick is coming straight at you rather than coming up.
When you move the handle up the bucket moves down and when you push the lever down the bucket raises.

Mine is directly opposite of what you have pictured. But I understand what you mean by it not being verticle.
Thanks
