The inside, left FEL “support plate” has substantial play in it (over 1.5 inches lateral movement away from attachment points) in all loader positions with/without load in bucket. All other similar steel plates have little to no play. It this a potential problem?

cant tell what you are asking about. If its different than the one on the other side I would make a call to your dealer. Maybe a short video to him would help.

I’m referring to the inside crescent-shaped linkage in the lowermost pivot point (curl/dump) on left side of FEL. I’ve shot video and contacted dealer. No response yet. thanks for reading my post.

pick the bucket off the floor, and check if play is similar across all of it. my loader has play everywhere, nothing should be tight, except pin slop, you should have some play everywhere

All other linkages snug (but still allow movement) in all loader positions with or without load in bucket. I assume that these linkages are to provide lateral support at pivot points while lifting and transporting loads. Am I correct in that assumption?

your gonna need to provide a video if you really want us to have a shot figuring out whats going on. that said a tape measure is your friend if you think you tweaked the frame. Make DAMN SURE the floor your working off is level. Don't ask me about a sleepless night and a 2 inch off center floor issue, making me think i had destroyed my loader.

Floor is pool table flat. Dealer responded to video that I sent him saying that the play in the linkage was not a problem and that several of his new tractors have play in multiple FEL linkages. Thanks to all those who chimed in on this. I guess I'm just going to keep checking on it. Haven't lifted anything heavier than 850 lbs in the week that I have owned this new tractor. No visible damage or misalignment, just one crescent-shaped linkage with some wobble. Probably nothing...

do you have video of the other links play, i would say that is normal, bit of a loose tolerance on the pin hole it seems, but nothing i would be concerned about. my tractor has 350 hours, almost all loader work, you should see how much my loader slides around.

None to very slightest amount of play in others (snug). Q: Are these linkages more important for vertical (lifting) support or for lateral stability of pivot points, or both??
Thanks for commenting.

I am not an engineer, but all the weight is for vertical, where this would not be a issue, get on a hill sideways with a load and you will see some side load.

If you REALLY want to calm your nerves head down to the dealer, and feel the fitment on those machines, if its the same, then it is what it is, if not get the dealer involved.
