attached is my NH bucket after I cut off the pin on brackets (setting on top) and got a plate welded on --- and the QA I got from NH .... This much ran me about $600 total.

And this is the main impetus for doing the QA conversion - a root grapple I can use

You'll notice in the last pic that the hyd cylinders were missing ... that's cause I was using it like this to dig with and had the grapple tines off (also it arrived with one bad cyl and although they replace it through the mail already - I haven't put them back on yet)

Nice job, Mike! Where are you gonna weld your hooks on now that your "handy-dandy" pin-on brackets are gone? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

DUNNO ! /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif Haven't had time to try to figure it out -- but I have a hunch some part of those pin on brackets are going to get restored to the bucket. I've gotten real used to those jinman hooks and the way they work. Heaven forbid I should have to change a paradigm /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif BUT ... I'm going to need hooks of some sort fairly quickly. Just that my time is pretty well used up for the next few months - then hurricane season starts..... arrgh!.... catch 22 here -- need time to prepare for retirement but can't get the time til I retire.

Yes very nice set up. That last pic looks as if that thing means to hurt something, lol I would hate to be 50 yards in front of you coming at me.

Man! This is scary. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif I looked at those brackets sitting on top of your bucket and thought, "Hey, he can weld those on somewhere else and still use his hooks." Now you turn around and say the same thing. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Actually, I think that would be a lot more welding than just finding a good hook location and weld them on.
