FEL question on my 2210

I went through the same thing with mine. It seems to be a very snug fit. The first time I had problems getting the loader back on, I loosened the loader arms and slid the bar up in. But that created a problem the next time I tried to get the loader off, it was stuck. Had to loosen the loader arms again and then it seemed to work fine.
Seeing as though you just bought it, I'd give the dealer a call and ask him to have someone swing by when they are in your neighborhood. Maybe they can make a slight adjustment for you. Good luck and enjoy the new tractor !

There are two dynamics (other than the obvious ones) to be aware of:
1) the 2210 bucket has a rollback angle that causes the bucket to curl back in storage. This, though perhaps not causing the problems panman mentions will cause hydraulic pressure to build up in the hoses/couplers and will make the next connection hard to make. 2) secondly the "c" grips that wrap the loader frame must be exactly aligned. This means that you might have to have the tractor in gear, and while moving the loader joystick, use foward or reverse commands. You should have no problems after a few installs/removes. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Good points from JDFanatic. I'd like to add a bit more to what he says. Make absolutely sure the alignment V-groove on the "C" Grips have dropped completely and evenly on to the locating tabs on the FEL mounts.
Also if the MMM is on the tractor, the front mounting hoop release pin will sometimes interfere slightly during re-mounting of the FEL.
I have also had, on more than one occasion, a very difficult time re-attaching the hydraulic hoses. Typically, I'll remove the FEL when it's cool, then it sits in the sun and builds up quite a bit of pressure. You have to release the pressure on the hoses by pushing in the "valve" pin at the end of the hose. This can be very difficult to do if there is alot of pressure built up.
Once you know all of ins and out, you'll find it is really a breeze to mount and dismount the FEL.

I'd like to make one more "hose connection" comment.
Immediately before attempting to attach the hoses, turn the tractor off and actuate the joystick in all directions. This allows any pressure at the connections to bleed off. Since I started doing it, any problems attaching the hoses has been eliminated.

I had this problem the first time with my 410 loader. You must make sure the spot where you take the loader off is level and hard. I did mine in the dirt that looked level, but was not, I fought mine to.
Now I only take it off in the paved driveway or the garage, and it is a effortless job.

The 2210 I had for a short time had a similiar loader issue. It came with a quick tach set up, and their was narrow "sweet zone" for the front loader bracket in which the loader and all the quick tach components would work well. I had to loosen the 6 or so permanent attaching bolts (bolts that hold the bracket to the tractor frame) and slighly realign the bracket---1/16 movement made a big difference. If you eliminate the other potential fixes discussed in the previous post, you might want to take a real close look at where/which side the pin(s) are hanging up and make a similiar adjustment. It's not hard do do....

I discovered that the bolts on my side arms had come loose and that consequently the arms were too long for fitting into the front slot. Check to see where the paint lines are on the arms.
