Okay, what's the trick to getting the FEL off a CK20. I followed the manual to no avail. Slowly ran the bucket and arms through every angle to take the weight off the pins, but they aren't budging. Sighhhhhhhhhhhhhh, what's the trick? /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Do you have a large nut at the front or rear side of the base of the FEL where the pin goes thru? If so, you need to loosen that up to get the pin out.

I went through this yesterday, ended up using a pry bar on the right side. The left side came out with slight twisting motion and a bit of force. The right side required a pry bar to get it started and then a good swift kick to get it back in. I will be trying it at the dealer when I pick it back up from FINALLY getting the BH installed.

If you've followed the maual, and have the stands down and the bucket curled with no result, I would simply work the loader bucket after the pins are removed to change the pressure points on the loader, being careful no to move the bucket so much that you cause the loader to fall off the supports. If you watch where the pins mount as you "wiggle" the bucket, you should be able to see how it would come loose the easiest. I hope this helps, John

Thanks, I think i'll be trying the pry bar next. I wiggled the bucket enough the pins should have fell out on their own.

The pins are tight sometimes, after you take it off and on several times it gets better. We always run a die grinder around the holes to get the paint off that makes them tight.

you'll almost definitly need to work one or both sides with a grinder to get them to be concentric to each other (loader to mount)...i had one work easily and the other needed some attention...now they work like a charm...but it still takes some joystick tweaking to get them to where there is no load on them

I had the same problem, so does my neighbor with his CK. I had to do some ginding once I got mine off with the with a pry bar and mallet. The holes were big enough independantly but the alignment was not quite right. A round file and ginding stone on my drill did the trick. Good Luck.
