The fel valve on my M/F 2310 is leaking and will not hold up when in neutral, plus the float does not work, the lever just drops into neutral. I called the local dealer and can get the two seal kits for about 100$ and I hope the detentes are not worn. I know they buy their valves from an outside source so it is not a Massey part. Has anyone got seals from a non dealer and were they correct? Thanks, Henry.

Seals on loader spool valves only control oil leaks on the outside not internal leaks. If cylinders on loader creep then either spool & valve housing are worn out of spec's or one or more cylinder piston seals are leaking. On detent no working the detent balls could be rusty/dirty or springs broken.

Finally got around to looking at leak. I replaced the two "O" rings on the external shafts and cleaned levers and ball cups. I cut the plastic shroud slot a bit longer and now the float works all the time. I have not addressed the internal leaks and am in the process of selling tractor(to my buddy that uses it a lot) as we are down sizing to a small lot. Thanks again.

As mentioned, the leaking by internally......there is nothing to rebuild. Its a metal on metal spool. Spools are precision ground and matched to the valve.

What part of the loader is "drifting down". IF its the curl (bucking drifting to a dumped position) then its possible its the cylinders. If its the whole loader arms drifting down....the cylinders are not your issue and its the valve. And the most logical fix is to just replace the valve. So you have to decide if the drifting is worth the cost and effort of a valve replacement.
