Can anyone tell me if the 14LA can be used on a TC33D? I have been told that it can be by my dealer. If not, I can go with a 7308. What should I expect to pay for either one?

Thanks,

Bob

The 14LA is not compatible with the old models. With the increased capabilities of the loader the front axle would not be able to support it. Also, attach points may be different.

Your dealer might be right. It was my understanding the new LA series did work with the late models TC29 and 33D. And I think it was only the last year they were made. It was when there was a color change if I remember right. Again and I repeat, I am not sure of this. If your tractor is designed for it and it can handle it I would sure go for it. I think you will pay about 500 more for it.

Ask your dealer and ask him again to be sure.

You know what I do in a case like this. Buy it from my dealer and have him install it. He's the one who knows best and needs to make it work and warranty it.

So the new loaders can be installed on an old machine? I remember reading that they can't. I thought the increased lift capacities would hurt the front axle. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Jay,

You are probably right. There was a change in the TC29D and 33D just before they went to the new head-lights/style. They are actually were a different blue even. It was my understanding they did accept the new loader. Now again, I am not sure of this but I do remember a dealer that I drive by had a TC33D with the old headlight style and the LA loader on it. Again I could be wrong, but if his dealer said you can I sure would investigate that option if it were me.

I agree with you 100%, Andy. If that dealer is willing to do it and warranty it, I'd let him. Isn't it interesting that while NH had a stockpile of 7308s, they said you had to install them on the early tractors. Now that they have depleted their inventory, they "magically" can install the 14LA. How long will it be before the 14LA is getting installed on the TC30, too? /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Disclaimer: I have no knowledge of NH's inventory or plans for the future. I'm just making a comment based on a "gut" feeling of what's going on here, based on common business practices. I could be totally off-base. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

New Holland put the 7308 on my 2003 TC29D. He said that the bolt holes were different that mount on the transmission side. The new 7308 loader did come with the new style stickers though.

I paid $3500.00 for a 7308, installed with HD bucket and toothbar. I'm in northern VA. I don't know how that compares to NY but should give you an idea.
