I have a Fergerson Disc (model ABO 22) that I'm dismantling to replace the front disc blades, sand blast, and paint. I took a rear gang off first and noticed the outside blade measured about 14" and graduated up to about 15" on the inside disc blade, Would this be caused by years of wear or would they have been installed that way when it was made at the factory? Would this cause the implement not to function properly as I was not going to replace the rear gang blades

the outside disc always sees a lot of wear, and will toss dirt farther than the rear disc can recover and pull back. to counter this often large discs will feature an outside disc that is intentionally smaller (i thought 2" overal was normal)

the graduation of size is indicative of wear.

It's due to wear. Mine is an ABO 21 and shows similar wear. But I use the disc as it is and it works fine on my 6-acre hayfield.

Have you had the bearing assembly apart on your disc. I took one apart and found one half of the wood bearing was worn thru to the steel sleeve, looks like I'll have to replace them if it is cost feasible hope all are not this bad. The cost of new bearing and disc blades will probably add up to what I gave for the disc 2 yrs ago. But using it on my food plots this summer it worked pretty good. I don't know if newer discs are built this heavy

Nope. Just pump the bearings full of heavy grease and go.
